Independence Forever

“Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.” –John Adams

Happy belated 4th of July. It’s one of my favorite holidays of the year.

Did you know that prior to our great Country being born on 7/4/1776, there was a significant movement being advanced not to secede from England? It was actually a speech by John Adams on 7/1/1776 where he made the case for independence that swayed the whole delegation and as the saying goes…the rest is history.

Watch this short video done by Brad Thompson, Political Science Professor at Clemson University, where he tells the fascinating story of John Adams: John Adams: American Founder and Second President

Thank you John Adams for being the foremost proponent for the case of independence. His last publically spoken words were “Independence Forever”.
