It’s important to recognize that we’re not naturally wired to be successful investors. To be successful, oftentimes, means doing what we don’t want to do. It means not succumbing to fear and greed. It means not letting short-term events derail our long-term investment plan. We have to learn to stay out of our own way and not become our own worst enemy.
